Taylor Swift is an angel! 

In 2010, Maya Thompson’s 3-year-old son Ronan was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a rare, but common childhood cancer. Maya began a blog about her and her family’s journey called RockStarRonan.com.

How does Taylor Swift come in to play you ask?

In 2011, after reading Maya’s blog, Taylor contacted Maya to invite her to one of her concerts. Maya never expected that nearly a year later Taylor would write a song titled, “Ronan,” in honor of her son. 

Taylor performed the song at the Stand Up To Cancer 2012 Telethon last week. Sources say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Ronan is now topping the charts.

Maya told AZCentral:

“It’s … putting a face to childhood cancer that we didn’t have before. Nobody wants to talk about childhood cancer. It’s too sad. But the sad thing is there are 46 kids diagnosed a day and seven of those kids will die a day. It’s sad that no one wants to pay attention to that. And I think now that she’s taken this stand, it’s just going to do incredible things for the awareness.”

How could you not pick Rihanna as VMAs 2012 Red Carpet Best Dressed?!? Rihanna posed with such happiness and poise. She showed up with a new look we hadn’t seen before and looked classy. This white number not only looked great on her but it made her shine! We thought she resembled Halle Berry a bit. Anyone else agree?

VMA 2012 RED CARPET SHEER SHOWDOWN

Whether celebrities were showing off their new short do with a plunging long black sheer dress or they were making a baby bump announcement, celebrities were incorporating sheer into their outfits this year on the VMAs red carpet. As much as floral prints are hard to like, we couldn’t help but love how Katy Perry looked in her dress. Unfortunately, when it comes to Nicki Minaj… She might have missed her ride to the circus which ended her up on the red carpet. That whole outfit was a BIG NO. Ke$ha looked very cleaned up in her “new look” and Zoe Saldana showed off her legs in her pale pink sheer dress which made her look classy as always.

VMA 2012 RED CARPET LEATHER SHOWDOWN

Some celebrities made sure to make leather one of the of their fashion statements on last night VMA’s red carpet. Demi Lovato opted for a leather jacket over a black cute dress while 2 Chainz wore his completely studded out jacket. Chanel WestCoast mixed it up in a dress while Kevin Hart rocked his all leather collared shirt with simple black pants. Maria Menounos spiced it up in an all leather dress, while Tyga decided to match with the carpet and wear his red leather tank top with red pants and shoes. Big Sean unfortunately wasn’t able to make us fans of his leather shorts as much we like his music but it was worth a try. Now we don’t agree with all the fashion “choices” they all made but at least they tried…right? Either way, Enjoy!

The songs on this mixtape are def. something to hear. Big Sean got producers like KeY Wane, Don Cannon, Da Internz, Hit Boy, etc to create magic together alongside top songwriter Xplicit who co-wrote some songs on the mixtape.

“Clique” a track off the anticipated compilation from the G.O.O.D Music team has just hit the waves after TMZ posted it on their site. The song featuring Kanye West, Big Sean, and Jay Z has everyone already talking about it.
